There are two main divisions, Competitive and Recreational. Both of these main divisions are further divided into two subdivisions from higher competition to lower competition as follows:
COMPETITIVE
RECREATIONAL
- Recreational A (aka Rec A)
- Recreational B (aka Rec B)
Recreational A corresponds to the old GCF designation of Competitive Recreational (fka Division B).
Recreational B corresponds to the old GCF designation of Recreational (fka Division C).
The Rec B division is intended for beginning or entry level teams and players. Focus in this division is on basic skill development, learning how to play the game, and a level of play that emphasizes participation and enjoyment of the game. No experienced teams or players are permitted at this level.
GCF Divisions for League Play (U9 to U12 age groups)
For the U9 and U10 age groups, there is only one main Division, which has two subdivisions - Rec A and Rec B.
For the U11 and U12 age groups, there are two main Divisions (Competitive and Recreational). Competitive only has one subdivision (Region Cup) and Recreational has two subdivisions - Rec A and Rec B.
