I. Registration

1) Teams must have a minimum of 7 players on their roster before they can be declared into the league.

2) Ages U13 and above, boys and girls, will be eligible.

3) An FYSA event roster will be used to allow movement to and from the team.

4) Players that are coded to the state cup team cannot play down to either region cup or recreation levels.

5) Each team is allowed 5 intra-club guest players on each team.

II. Scheduling and Game Play rules

1) All teams must be approved by the GCF State Cup Committee before they can be entered into the state cup division.

2) All teams must give the GCF State Cup Committee a portfolio of their accomplishments to be considered. (For Fall 2009, not needed since this is the inaugural season to be used as a baseline).

3) Game sites will be centrally located for traveling convenience.

4) Entry into the state cup division will not be limited to just the affiliated clubs of the GCFYSL. Declaration fees for teams not affiliated with the GCFYSL will be $250.00 made payable to the GCFYSL. (For Fall 2009, same rate as not affiliated clubs for other divisions (i.e. $150)).

5) Teams could play 2 games in a weekend. Limited to 1 game per day.

6) Teams will play 2 weekends per month and off two weekends per month.

7) The “no reschedule rule” will not apply at the state cup level.

8) The length of the games will be the approved length for each age bracket as determined by FYSA and US Youth Soccer.

9) There will be a 1 minute water break halfway through each half of all age bracketed games.

III. General Guidelines

1) At the end of the seasonal year the two (2) top teams in each division will be awarded trophies or plaques.

2) At check-in each team will present a FYSA event roster and player/coach passes to the center referee. A FYSA event roster will also be given to the opposing coach.

3) All league play rules will be in accordance with the GCFYSL standard league rules with the exception of the rules listed above.

4) All protest and grievances will be heard by and handled by the GCF State Cup Committee.

5) All red cards will be collected and sent through the normal GCFYSL procedures, with the VP of Discipline conferring with the GCF State Cup Committee for the discipline.

If there are no state cup caliber teams at a division level, then there won’t be a state cup division at that level for that season.
